Covid Relief Seva to PHCs in Mulshi

On 12 June 2021, sevaks from Chinmaya Vibhooti (Kolwan) handed over medical and protective equipment to the Taluka Health Officer of Mulshi (District Pune), Dr. Ajit Karanjkar. The materials included 2 oxygen concentrators for use at the Kolwan Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC), 25 pulse oximeters, 6 contactless thermometers, 30 hand sanitizers, 1000 face masks, and 2000 disposable gloves. Many of these items will be used by field workers who carry out health surveys and meet at least 400 villagers daily. 
Dr. Karanjkar expressed his gratitude for the timely support and said that it is only due to the support of organizations like Chinmaya Mission that Covid-19 cases are now on the decline in the second wave in Maharashtra. Dr. Abhijit Gore (Community Health Officer, Kashig, Mulshi), Shri Sameer Kale (Multi-Purpose Worker, Kolwan), and Smt. Dhanashree Palkar (Sarpanch of Kolwan) was also present at the small function at Chinmaya Vibhooti, which began and concluded with prayers.
Support was also extended by the sponsorship of a new inverter with three batteries for the Kolwan PHC. This will ensure an uninterrupted power supply, which is especially important during procedures and surgeries at the PHC. Many thousands of members of the local community will be benefited from this offering.
